Hungary at the biggest mixed international football tournament for 10-12 year olds
The U12s Hungarian team joined the Danone Nations Cup in 2003. They climbed to 8th place after having closely fought the quarter finals during the 2004 edition and finishing as a finalist in the 2018 edition. With more and more talented players, the young Hungarians are ones to be watched during the next edition of the Danone Nations Cup.
The Hungarians and football
The Hungarian national team took part in an international tournament for the first time in 1912 during the summer Olympic Games in Stockholm. Football occupies top spot in the hearts of Hungarians. Today it is the most played sport in Hungary. The Hungarian national team can count on their many committed and united supporters who come in droves to each match.
Hungarian ambassador
Otto Vincze, is the Hungarian ambassador of the Danone Nations Cup. Repeatedly selected for the national team, Otto Vincze has played for Barcelona and he sets an example for the young Hungarians. He has taken part in international championships and is now the coach of a professional Hungarian club. His success shows the way for young Hungarians and gives them the hope of one day joining the national team and becoming professionals.
