For two consecutive years they won the title of best scorer and best player in 2018 and 2019. The French girls’ football team is therefore the team to watch, as they have the level required to win many competitions.

Women’s football in France

In France, it took time before women’s football became known. Played since 1920, it was not until 1971 that the first French women’s national football team emerged. It was in 1996 that women’s football gained the most acceptance when it became an Olympic discipline. Today, French women’s football is growing and is supported by thousands of French people at the international championships. Voted as 3rd team in the world in 2018 by FIFA, the French women’s national football team has a bright future ahead of it. This suggests great footballing successes for the young French footballers at the DNC.
