Beyond an international tournament, the DNC is a lifetime experience turning players into world citizens which promotes:

At the Danone Nations Cup World Final the players from all around the world have the opportunity to express themselves and act on their future. In 2019, the young players of the U12 football tournament voted for the UN sustainable development goal they want the DNC to support. The top goals are :

Water access: our commitment with watering minds

50 % of schools across the world don’t have access to safe drinking water. The Danone Nations Cup enlists and encourages participants, ambassadors, supporters and partners to join this cause.

The Danone Nations Cup partners with Watering Minds to act for access to safe drinking water for children.
In 2019 several actions were put in place to raise funds:

1- crowdfunding campaign
2- #LacesForChange initiative (sale of social laces)
3- actions during the World Final (golden bar, charity match etc.)

Through these numerous actions we have raised € 100,000 and impacted the lives of 30,000 children.

Watering Minds is providing safe water for schools in developing countries around the world to improve children’s education & health.

Healthier habits

On each step of the competition, regional, national and world final, the DNC aims at educating children on <strong>healthier eating and drinking habits</strong> and on the importance of a balanced diet through numerus workshops : nutrition awareness sessions, meetings with nutritionist and educative game.

Inclusion & diversity

The DNC is putting forward positive role models (local and world women ambassadors) to encourage girls around the world to get involved in football and reap the rewards that it can bring.
For the 2018 and 2019 editions, four new countries have joined the girls’ tournament: Argentina, Japan, South Africa and Uruguay.

Responsible & sustainable event

By raising children’s awareness on sustainability issues and by recycling or reusing 100% of the plastic used during the local and world competition the DNC is committed to a better future. Recycling is one of the different themes tackled with our apprentice footballers. The objective is to encourage them to be major operator in the protection of our planet.
