    1. A crowdfunding campaign

    To support water access for kids, the Danone Nations Cup first launched a crowdfunding campaign in partnership with the NGO Watering Minds, which ended on July 12th. The mechanism was simple: 3€ donation = 1 year of safe drinking water for one child.
    60 000€ were collected during this first action helping 20 000 kids !

    2. The #LacesForChange campaign

    Following the crowdfunding campaign, the Danone Nations Cup goes one step further and launches its #LacesForChange campaign alongside the official outfitter Decathlon.

    Water Minds - Safe water for schools
    Watering Minds is providing safe water for schools in developing countries around the world to improve children’s education & health.

    Healthier habits

    On each step of the competition, regional, national and world final, the DNC aims at educating children on healthier eating and drinking habits and on the importance of a balanced diet through numerus workshops : nutrition awareness sessions, meetings with nutritionist and educative game.

    Inclusion & diversity values

    The DNC promotes inclusivity, diversity, openness, and changing mentalities when it comes to gender equality. In 2017 an all girl tournament was created and keeps on growing every year.
    The DNC is putting forward positive role models (local and world women ambassadors) to encourage girls around the world to get involved in football and reap the rewards that it can bring.

    Responsible & sustainable event

    By raising children’s awareness on sustainability issues and by recycling or reusing 100% of the plastic used during the local and world competition the DNC is committed to a better future.
